WHAT MAKES IBIZA SO SPECIAL?

Ibiza is renowned for its mesmerising aura, but the island shows a more intimate side to those who venture beyond its vibrant nightlife.

A rural island, sculpted by the centuries, where the ochre earth creates a striking contrast against the brilliant white of its traditional fincas. A land of contrasts and heritage, where deeply rooted traditions converge with diverse cultural influences. And a coastline made for countless marine adventures. It’s in this unspoilt setting, just steps from the sea, that Beaumier’s Petunia hotel blends naturally and elegantly with its surroundings. Facing the iconic Es Vedrà rock, Petunia’s exceptional location immerses you deeper into Ibiza’s essence, offering an exclusive experience in a lush, radiant haven where the island’s rugged beauty intertwines with a tranquil and refined way of life.

FAQs

It depends on the Ibiza you're looking for. The south-west of the island — around Cala Carbó and Es Vedrà — is quieter, wilder and more intimate than the north. Petunia sits in this corner of the island, surrounded by terraced gardens and turquoise water, a little removed from the crowds.

Summer is dazzling, but the shoulder seasons reveal a different island entirely. Spring and autumn bring warm light, emptier coves and a slower pace — ideal for walking the interior, exploring whitewashed villages and enjoying the sea without the bustle.

Very much so. Beyond its reputation for nightlife, Ibiza is a place of remarkable natural beauty. The island's south-west coast, in particular, feels remote and unspoilt — terraced landscapes, dramatic rock formations and a coastline made for long, unhurried days by the sea.

Quite a lot. The island's interior hides hilltop villages, ancient fincas and local markets. Boat trips to Formentera are a perennial favourite. There is also excellent sea-to-table dining, coastal walks and, for those who want it, a vivid cultural and music scene.

Ibiza Airport receives direct flights from across Europe, with connections particularly frequent from spring to autumn. The drive from the airport to the south-west of the island takes around 25 minutes. How to get to Petunia.

Its setting, above all. Perched above Cala Carbó with views of Es Vedrà, Petunia is small by design — intimate, garden-filled and deliberately quiet. Dining here, facing the sea and the rock, is an experience that belongs entirely to this corner of the island.
